Up to 50 immigrants being detained at DFW Airport under Trump's order

After President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Friday barring all refugees entry to the US for 120 days and restricting valid visa and green card holders from seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the USA for 90 days, reports flooded in from around the country - and the world - of people being detained or sent back at major global airports.
The ACLU had filed a habeas corpus petition in federal court for the Eastern District of New York on behalf of Hameed Khalid Darweesh and Sameer Abdulkhaleq Alshawi, two Iraqi citizens who were detained at JFK airport in New York City earlier today.
Along with Darweesh, the other detainee was Haider Sameer Abdulkhaleq Alshawi, who was arriving to the U.S.to join his wife, a US contractor, and his young son. And here we have it: President Trump's first legal loss on civil rights.
They also filed a motion for class certification, to represent all refugees and immigrants being detained at ports of entry.
The man, 32, who asked to be identified only as Omar, arrived in Charlotte in 2012 and went back to Iraq to get married in 2015.
Hameed Khalid Darweesh worked for the U.S. government for ten years in his native Iraq. Because he was en route to the USA when the ban came into effect, he was detained at New York's JFK Airport while it was determined whether he could be allowed to enter or not.
Customs and Border Protection officials cited Trump's new executive order, which bans citizens of Iraq and six other Muslim-majority countries - a total of at least 134 million people - from entering the United States for the next 90 days.
