  • Alleged Assassin of Kim Jong Un's Half Brother Thought She Was Participating in a Prank TV Show

The North Korean government has objected to the investigation into the death of the half-brother of North Korean Leader Kim Jong-Un, saying autopsies are unnecessary because the man died of a heart attack.

Four people have been arrested in connection with his death - including one woman who claims she thought the stunt was part of a prank on a comedy TV show.

North Korean state media has remained silent on the murder of Kim Jong Nam at Kuala Lumpur airport on Monday.

Meanwhile, Malaysian authorities said Friday they won't release the body of Kim Jong Nam without DNA from a relative.

His death is now causing a diplomatic struggle between North Korea and Malaysia-one of the few countries to have semi-normal relations with the reclusive Asian nation-as they argue about the decision to conduct an autopsy on Kim's body.

A auto belonging to the North Korean embassy was seen entering the compound of the police headquarters about 4.15pm which intensified speculation that embassy representatives were meeting the fourth suspect detained in its lock-up.

Mr Kim had previously spoken out in the past against his family's dynastic control of isolated, nuclear-armed North Korea.

The Macau Daily quoted a friend identified by his surname Chen as saying, "Kim Jong-nam was accompanied by bodyguards during his early years there, but he moved around by himself in recent years".

Kim Jong-nam told staff he was suffering from a headache and was taken to the airport clinic grimacing in pain, according to Malaysian media citing CCTV footage from the airport.

Lee Byong-ho, the director of the agency, told a meeting of the government's Intelligence Committee that Kim Jong-nam had been murdered with poison in Malaysia on Monday and that he had survived at least one previous attempt on his life...

Malaysia on Wednesday performed an autopsy over the strong objections of North Korea, which asserted sovereignty over the body of its citizen and says it should have a say in what happens next.

Indonesian Immigration Office spokesman Agung Sampurno said that officials from the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur met with the woman in Selangor state, where she has been imprisoned, and ensured she was safe.

Zahid had confirmed that the body did belong to Kim Jong Nam, based on the passports that he was carrying.

The eldest son of late North Korea leader Kim Jong-il, Kim Jong-nam was initially considered the heir to his father but reportedly lived in exile outside the country since 2003. While South Korea has blamed North Korea for a slew of notable assassinations or attempted killings in past decades, the North often denies involvement or simply doesn't comment.

The Chinese territory, a short ferry or helicopter ride from Hong Kong, is a popular gambling destination with mainland Chinese.

Aisyah's accomplice, 28-year-old Doan Thi Huong, who has also been arrested, told police she though the assassination was for a prank video as well, according to a China Press report.

Photographs, said to be the last moments of Kim Jogn-nam have been published by Straits.
