  • Two Rockets Fired From Sinai Hit Southern Israel

One of the photos shows an ISIS terrorist preparing to launch the rockets.

Monday's rocket attack came the day after Islamic State-linked media claimed that an unmanned Israeli drone had bombed and killed five members of ISIS in Egypt in the northern Sinai region. "Forces are searching the area".

Speaking during an global conference in Munich, Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman hinted that the IDF was indeed responsible for the drone strike.

"If you are talking about Hamas and Hezbollah then [IS's Sinai force] is not even a terror group", he told Army Radio, saying the group was comprised of "random [amateurs] who chose to build themselves an army".

Hamas, the Palestinian terror organization that controls the Gaza Strip, has been harboring Islamic State leaders, sheltering them from Israeli and Egyptian security forces.

"We need to see everything in proportion", he added.

Asked if Israel was behind the Saturday airstrike in the Sinai, Liberman responded sarcastically.

With Islamic State being countered inside Iraq and Syria, the Egyptian offshoot could become more of a threat. The minister further noted that IS in Sinai does not represent a serious threat to Israel's security and that it only slightly disrupts it, asserting that it can not be compared to the threats posed by the Gaza-based movement of Hamas and the Lebanon-based Hezbollah.

"We do not let anything go without a response", he said.

However, similar claims were made by Hamas after rockets were fired towards Israel's Eilat earlier this month.

Three of the rockets were intercepted by Israel's Iron Dome; the fourth fell into an open field.
