A small group of users have seen offers advertising Spotify Hi-Fi for $5, $7.50, or $10 above the $9.99 cost of Spotify Premium.

There are likely some folks out there that have equipment (like a headphone amp) that could take advantage of higher-quality Spotify streams, though, and Spotify could make some extra money from those folks by offering this Hi-Fi service.

Apple Music, Spotify and TIDAL all have different characteristics or elements that help differentiate their music-streaming service from each other.

Another screenshot, this time on Imgur, shows the same pricing tier and benefits, save for the free vinyl record, which is replaced by exclusive presale concert tickets.

Tidal, before it was Tidal, was the first to really play with the idea of charging twice the subscription price for higher quality audio, and what was then known as WIMP initially developed the Tidal brand specifically for that element of its service.

Spotify Premium now offers lossy files up to 320 kpbs which, for many, is quite enough.

There are quite a few music streaming services out there that are fighting to capture music lovers' attention and Spotify might be among the best known solutions.

This new service is not actually a big surprise considering everyone can access lossless music quality through their Android and smartphone devices these days. At present, one of the many advantages of buying CDs is that people can rip music off them in lossless quality, which audiophiles highly prefer.

Spotify now offers 320kbps audio files, which offers decent sound in a file size that's small and loads quickly, which is ideal for users on the go.

Spotify is openly testing a lossless streaming option.
