Rachel Dolezal Has Rebranded Herself With A Totally Inappropriate New Name

03 March, 2017, 01:10 | Author: Priscilla Morrison
  • For years Dolezal 39 has been insisting she is black even claiming on social media that a black man she had met in Idaho was her father and her adopted brother was her son. She gave this

Shortly after changing her name, someone created a change.org petition under the name Nkechi Amare Diallo asking the TED Talks website to post the TEDx talk given by Dolezal that year.

Rachel's reputation took a serious hit in 2015 when her parents outed her as being White, leading to loss of her position as an NAACP leader as well as a professor at a Washington university.

Nkechi says she continues to identify as a black woman.

Court records posted online by Spokane County, in Washington state, indicated that Dolezal petitioned to change her name to Diallo, which has African roots, and that a judge granted the request last October 7.

Nkechi is an Igbo name short for Nkechinyere that means "gift of God", which given its meaning, is clearly not the name that God intended for her. No one wants to hire her because of her reputation. Her name is now Nkechi Amare Diallo.

To make her case more convincing, Dolezal had claimed her adopted black brother was her son and that an older black man she wasn't related to was her father.

You'd think her struggles would be enough to give her pause about continuing her claim that she is black.

Now, Dolezal says she is unable to find any kind of work where she lives in Spokane, Washington, and has been relying on food stamps to feed her family.

Rachel Dolezal has officially changed her name to a West African moniker. She should not be censored due to her unique perspective.

The New York Daily News referenced a recent interview Dolezal gave to The Guardian in which Rachel described herself as "pan-African, bisexual, an artist, mother, and educator".

She is still apologising for her deception two years later. I didn't choose to feel this way or be this way, I just am. On the other hand, it seems unlikely she'll profit from this widely reported name change, so whatever. I mean, I guess you could be searching for them, but something tells me someone in her inner circle snitched on her. Despite the backlash she's received from the public, Dolezal has no regrets.
