The previous record for 4.24 seconds was set by former Eastern Kentucky University wide receiver Rondel Menendez during the 1999 NFL Scouting Combine and equaled by former Tennessee Titans 2,000-yard running back Chris Johnson in 2008.

Ross chose to skip a second run in the 40 and sat out the remainder of the wide-receivers workout on Saturday. His unofficial time was 4.22 seconds, which would be the fastest time in the 40 ever at the Combine.

So Ross stepping up to the starting line to run the 40-yard-dash on Saturday was one of the most anticipated moments of the 2017 NFL Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Added to all else he already is, John Ross is a man of his word. Adidas, looking to add a little extra hype to the event, made a decision to offer $1 million to anyone who could break Johnson's record. Ross was also one of the top performers in the broad jump, recording a distance of 133 inches, which was tied for No. 3 among wide receivers. "That's what I plan to run".

"I'm going to try", Ross had said Friday when asked about breaking the record.

Barack Obama is Ready to Return to Politics
In that respect, what Obama has planned to do so quickly after office is all but unprecedented for a recently removed president. Recent past presidents have dabbled in politics after leaving office, such as President George W.

"Ross, 5'11" and 190 lbs., has been widely projected to be selected in the first round of the upcoming NFL Draft.

We got a glimpse of Ross's talent when we spent time with him while he worked out at Athletic Republic ahead of his performance today at the NFL Combine, and his speed and immaculate footwork were evident then, too. "Just knowing when to be physical, how to be physical because there will be a lot of guys who are going to see me as a smaller guy so they are going to want to press me".

"I played this season with a messed up shoulder", Ross said.

In addition to being able to blow by virtually anyone, Ross is also a complete route-runner with unbelievable footwork.
