With the Honolulu federal judge considering whether to extend the temporary halt on President Donald Trump's revised travel ban, the U.S. Justice Department said in a court filing Friday that the state of Hawaii hasn't offered sufficient evidence to impose a preliminary injunction.

Watson issued a sweeping block of Trump's revised travel ban on March 15, halting enforcement of the president's' second attempt at the measure, which would have barred citizens of six predominantly Muslim countries from entering the U.S.

FBI spokeswoman Michele Ernst said they know about threats Watson has received and is prepared to help, but did not provide further information about the investigation.

"This is, in the opinion of many, an unprecedented judicial overreach", Trump decreed before vowing to take the case to the Supreme Court.

Jordan Spieth at least won't have to worry about playing a close friend like he did a year ago against Justin Thomas. Past year at Austin Country Club, he posted a 7-0 record, including a 5-and-4 rout of Oosthuizen in the final.

Ernst said the Federal Bureau of Investigation is ready to assist but declined to provide more information.

"The U.S. Marshals Service is responsible for the protection of federal judicial officials, including judges and prosecutors, and we take that responsibility very seriously", they said. The revision nixed Iraq from the ban. It would have banned people from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen from entering the U.S. for 90 days and all refugees for 120 days.

"The illogic of the government's contentions is palpable", Watson wrote after the government argued the new ban did not target all Muslims. In response, the US Marshals Service increased their patrols and number of officers protecting the judges. It did not survive Watson's. It was also blocked in a federal court.

At a hearing earlier this week, Judge Anthony Trenga questioned whether an injunction was necessary, given the fact that judges in Hawaii and Maryland have already blocked the vast majority of the executive order from taking effect.
