In Her First Interview, Clinton Admits To Post Election Loss Difficulties

10 April, 2017, 02:29 | Author: Abraham Jackson

Hillary Clinton, a 2016 presidential candidate and a former Secretary of State, will speak Friday morning at the Marriot Marquis Hotel in downtown about supporting a Texas group that helps women get elected.

She said: "He is absolutely a prisoner of his family's expectations, his dead father's looming presence and his delusion, that I believe he now probably could pass a lie detector about, that everyone who opposes him is a terrorist".

She has been hiking near her Westchester, New York, home, enjoying Broadway shows and spending time with her grandchildren Charlotte, 2, and Aidan, 9 months.

And it is continues to play a role in the Trump administration, she alleged, noting that the number of women in Trump's government is "the lowest it's been in a generation".

"I think in this election there was a very real struggle between what is viewed as change that is welcomed and exciting to so many Americans and change which is worrisome and threatening to so many others".

Her statement Thursday echoes a speech she made earlier in March encouraging women to seek public office.

"I hope this administration will move forward in a way that is most strategic and consistent with our values, and I also hope that they will recognize that we can not in breath speak of protecting Syrian babies and in the next close America's borders". "There are so many examples in just the first 100 days", she said.

Last year, Clinton and the US Democratic Party were hit by a series of leaks and disclosures.

"As a person, I'm ok. Oh, I don't know, maybe you were dropped by immaculate conception?" I think there's something to be said for that.

She also offered advice to the women who were hurt by her defeat. I think it would be naïve, " she continued.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, she said, wanted to destabilise Europe, NATO and the United States and was personally opposed to her after she criticised Russian elections while secretary of state.

She said the Russian leader is "not very fond" of strong women but was reluctant to personally attack her former opponent, Donald Trump.

"I will confess to this: having listened to them talk about repeal and replace for 7 years now, they had not a clue what that meant; they had no idea", Clinton stated when asked about the health-care bill.
