During a couple of weekends in April, Metro will be sponsoring events for area children.

The hunt will be held Friday, April 14 at 8 p.m.at Oregon Park West.

Westside Baptist Church in Gillette, 604 W. 10th St., also will host an Easter Egg hunt for children in sixth-grade and younger at 10:30 a.m. April 15.

Austintown: Dairy Queen, 146 N. Canfield-Niles Road, 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Kids are encouraged to bring their own baskets.

Art activities, face painting and storytime will immediately following the Easter egg hunt. The hunt was previously held at Dunnegan Memorial Park. Hop down the bunny trail to EdVenture for an eggstra-special Eggstravaganza.

Fremont Mall's Easter EGGstravaganza egg hunt is planned for noon Sunday. Prizes will be awarded. All early arrivals will get an extra opportunity to share quality time with the Easter Bunny and take advantage of special photo ops with him. The following flashlight egg hunts will provide just the right amount of cool for tweens and teens. If the weather is not compatible, the entertainment will take place indoors.
