All were injured; two of whom were seriously hurt after they fell out while the bounce house was airborne.

Strong winds in SC caused two inflatable bounce houses to go airborne Saturday with five children still inside.

The five children injured were taken by ambulance to a hospital nearby.

The church put forward a statement of thoughts and prayers to all those involved.

"This afternoon, we held our annual Spring Carnival on our campus", he wrote.

Five children were hospitalized in a bouncy house accident Saturday at a church carnival in Taylors, South Carolina.

The deputies said a gust started lifting small tents before sending an inflatable slide into power lines and causing a bounce house in which children were playing to go airborne, Pinciaro said.

The bounce house then hit a power line which shut it off, but, luckily, there was no fire, the fire department says. "It just took us up and took us into the power line and broke all the power lines".

"Everybody was just enjoying themselves, [it was a] calm day", said a witness who asked not to be identified told WCMH.

"These fortunately were dead when they hit the ground or we would have had, or could have had, fatalities", Reed said.

According to Springwell Church, the church was hosting a festival when a gust of wind picked up the bounce house.

"It's kind of like, you know, like in the desert, where they have one of those dust storms", Reed said.
