She's since moved on to a campaign stop in Kamloops.

A speculation tax of two per cent is predicted to raise $200 million a year and apply to all property owners who don't pay income tax in B.C. Both Horgan and Robertson call for a budget increase for the province's Residential Tenancy Office, which they say has been cut by the B.C. Liberals to the point where access for renters is too hard. I'm committed to that, I'm committed to living within our means. "We're going to make different choices - choices that help families and make their lives better".

A large part of cutting that waste, according to Horgan, is getting rid of what he calls Christy Clark's "LNG Fantasy Fund".

Also in Vancouver Wednesday, B.C. Green Party leader Andrew Weaver unveiled a plan to increase income assistance, disability assistance and shelter allowance by 10 per cent a year, starting this fall and continuing for five years.

"My first thought was who is going to be paying for all this?" she said.

Cote said the cuts will harm the Mayors' Council's long-term transportation plan.

Palestinian force deploys in Lebanon camp, ending clashes
The camp was established in 1948 to host Palestinians displaced by Israeli forces during the establishment of Israel. Palestinians in Lebanon are prohibited from working in professional jobs and have few legal protections in Lebanon.

British Columbia's Liberal government has ignored renters for the past 16 years and it's high time someone offered them a helping hand, New Democrat Leader John Horgan says.

"We would all like to be home in Kelowna a lot more than we get to but that comes with the responsibility of governing the whole province", Clark said. It would also increase capital spending by $7 billion over three years.

The New Democrat's announcement came just after the Liberals said they would cap bridge tolls to $500 per year for drivers in a bid to attract drivers in the Surrey and Delta ridings.

De Jong says the NDP's plan "is not possible" unless one of two things happen: "an operating deficit, or massive tax increases", adding it's not sustainable and can not co-exist with a balanced budget.

In a statement, Liberal candidate Mike de Jong says there's no way for the NDP to balance the budget, which he describes as reckless.

He says it would cost $4-billion per year if brought in, and again raising the spectre of B.C. losing its AAA credit rating.
