Portland's Nurkic out Game 2, Warriors' Durant questionable

Durant, who suffered a left calf strain while scoring 32 points in the Warriors' Game 1 win on Sunday, could be seen clutching his leg throughout the victory.

Even with the danger of McCollum and Lillard shooting lights-out, Golden State found themselves victorious at the end of the game behind a final quarter run that asserted their dominance as the Western Conference's most lethal team.

The Portland Trail Blazers knew it, Lillard and McCollum knew it, and the entire world knew it, so it's hardly a surprise that the Portland's dynamic backcourt duo put their entire team on their backs and tried to carry them to an upset victory in Game 1.

Livingston, who is a key member of the Warriors second unit, "jammed his hand when he was diving on the floor", Kerr said.

"You've got to give them credit, they got it going".

Portland will attempt to steal Game 2 Wednesday night in Oakland.

Golden State should still have plenty of firepower even if Durant is shelved for a night, with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala still being a formidable quartet. Considering that the Blazers barely squeaked into the playoffs and that trade deadline acquisition and starting center Jusuf Nurkic was out with a foot injury, Lillard's forecast seemed inaccurate, to say the least. He did not practice Tuesday.

"At this time, I can not comment on anything regarding free agency under league rules", general manager Bob Myers said in an email Monday, "but I will say it pleases me to know that our players, in general, enjoy playing for our team and are happy to be a part of our organization".

BC party leaders slamming opponents' spending promises on campaign trail
He says it would cost $4-billion per year if brought in, and again raising the spectre of B.C. losing its AAA credit rating. A large part of cutting that waste, according to Horgan, is getting rid of what he calls Christy Clark's "LNG Fantasy Fund".

The good news is the injury isn't related to Durant's knee, which forced him to miss 20 games in the regular season.

Without him, the Warriors had their way in the paint. "It all starts obviously defensively".

In a post game interview Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said, "He played a game, that I'm not sure anybody else in the league is capable of". And we got our answer with this calf strain. When your two best players score 75 points together and you still lose the game, there isn't much left to be hopeful about.

"That group did it, and then we were able to knock down some shots, but it started with our defense".

There's plenty of trash talk being thrown around, too, especially from Green.

Portland isn't going to get many better performances from McCollum and Lillard this series.

Kevin Durant patted his chest after two big baskets in the fourth quarter and let everybody know "I got this!"
