Following on from leaks on Twitter in March, publisher Activision and developer Sledgehammer Games have officially revealed that the game will be released later in the year. To get access to Private Beta of Call of Duty: WWII, players will have pre-order the game.

"Call of Duty: WW2" was announced by Activision this evening together with the game's first piece of official box art and an official website. "New ways" to socialize with friend and the community as a whole is also promised.
