Bill Shine leaves Fox News after 20 years

Fox News Channel Co-President Bill Shine, who was promoted a year ago after his boss Roger Ailes was ousted over sexual harassment allegations, has resigned and will leave the company in the next few weeks.

The network said Monday that Bill Shine, the network's co-president and a longtime lieutenant of ousted Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, is out.

Murdoch also announced in the email that Suzanne Scott would become president of the network's programming division, while Jay Wallace would be president of the news division.

Shine was appointed co-president with Jack Abernethy, who remains in place, at the time of Ailes departure.

Shine is the third key figure at Fox to depart in the past year since the wave of complaints or harassment.

The polarizing host tweeted on Thursday afternoon amid rumors Shine was losing support from the Murdochs - particularly Rupert's sons James and Lachlan.

Amy Listerman, formerly CFO of Scripps Networks Interactive, began her new job as CFO of Fox News Monday.

Shine had been mentioned in several lawsuits filed against Fox News for allowing a workplace culture in which sexual harassment and racial discrimination developed. Her lawsuit alleges that Mr Shine and other Fox executives "kept Ailes's conduct secret and enabled it".

Three reasons why Steelers drafting Pitt's James Conner is flawless
Technically, a team should not exceed the NFL's limit at any time. although some leeway is allowed in the aftermath of the draft. This pick also, in all likelihood, gives the Steelers a solid one-two punch at running-back for many years to come.

Suzanne Scott, who had been executive vice president of programming at FNC, was promoted to president of programming at the network. Numerous press reports, citing anonymous sources, had claimed that Hannity could leave Fox News as early as Friday, May 5.

Jay Wallace, who has been executive vice president of News, becomes president of News for Fox News Channel.

Responding to the article, Hannity tweeted at Sherman: 'Gäbe i pray this is NOT true because if it is, that's the total end of the FNC as we know it.

Some at Fox believed Shine gave the network stability and continuity as it was buffeted by the Ailes and O'Reilly episodes. He has denied all sexual harassment accusations that have been made against him, including $13 million in payouts he has made to various women in the past decade. Shine also retaliated against the network's employees who accused Ailes of sexual harassment.

In a statement, Fox's Rupert Murdoch said Shine's departure marked a "significant day for all" at the company.

Scott is not named as a defendant in the lawsuit.

The revamped Fox News is taking shape, one high-profile departure at a time.
