  • Chris Soules' arrest could change Bachelor in Paradise

On Tuesday, KCCI Des Moines reported that prosecutors responded to Chris Soules' lawyers motion to dismiss the felony charge brought against their client. Another suspicious factor a Buchanan County Attorney has brought up, is that, by fleeing the scene police officers were unable to test Soules' "level of intoxication".

"The only permissible reasons for which [Soules] could leave the scene of the accident in the first place was to seek necessary aid or report the accident to law enforcement authorities", the prosecution filing reads, according to The Register.

The statement comes on the heels of allegations from prosecutors that Soules purchased alcohol shortly before his pickup truck rear-ended a tractor driven by fellow farmer Kenneth Mosher.

On Monday, Soules' attorneys filed a motion to dismiss, arguing in a nine-page supporting brief that their client met the requirements under Iowa law that govern what a person must do when involved in a fatal crash. As we previously reported, Mr. Soules is now trying to have the felony charge for the fatal accident he was involved in dismissed as the reality TV vet supposedly did "everything right" following the crash.

Hours after the collision, Soules was arrested at his home.

That's why Baltimore was fortunate that an explosive edge rusher such as LB Tyus Bowser slipped into the second round. Coach John Harbaugh said he was "not afraid" to overstate expectations: "I expect these guys to be great".

"Mr. Soules described the location of the accident and communicated with dispatch for approximately 5 minutes and 45 seconds while help was en route". The Buchanan County Sheriff's Office confirmed Soules' arrest and charge last Tuesday.

According to Perezhilton.com, Soules claimed to have handled the tragic event appropriately by remaining with the victim until the EMT's arrived, calling 911 and checking for a pulse.

Attorneys for Soules say the charges against him aren't warranted because Soules called 9-1-1.

"The evidence will further show that emergency responders arrived on the scene shortly after Mr. Soules concluded his 911 call". Elite Daily reached out to a representative for Soules on the allegation, but did not hear back at the time of publication.

Soules is a longtime resident of Arlington, IA, where his family owns and operates a farm.
