Spurs point guard Tony Parker is done for the remainder of the playoffs after he ruptured his left quadriceps tendon late in Wednesday night's Game 2 victory over the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference semifinals, the Spurs confirmed Thursday morning.

The Spurs said a timeline for Parker's return would be determined at a later date.

Parker, who scored 18 points, was clutching his left knee as he lay on the floor after missing a short shot.

Parker's teammates spoke somberly Wednesday night when they addressed Parker's injury with the media. James also became the fourth player in National Basketball Association history (Ray Allen, Reggie Miller, Manu Ginobili) to make 300 playoff 3-pointers. Patty Mills was the primary point guard without Parker and Ginobili served as the lead backup. Parker averaged 3.1 assists in eight playoff games this season. Mills was more than ready to lead the San Antonio Spurs as a point guard.
