The U.S. Coast Guard is searching in the Bahamas for a small plane with four people from NY on board after the group failed to arrive in Titusville as scheduled. The plane had departed Borinquen, Puerto Rico, at about 11 a.m. Monday, and was headed for Titusville, Florida.

The four people on board the plane, who are now feared dead, have been identified as Nathan Ulrich, 52, Jennifer Blumin, 40, and her two sons aged four and ten, ABC 7 reports.

At around 2:10 p.m., officials at Miami Traffic Control say the plane disappeared from its radar; at the time, it was located about 37 miles east of Eleuthera, Bahamas.

The Coast Guard deployed a C-130 Hercules airplane crew to search for the overdue plane on Monday.

Also, the Coast Guard Cutter Bernard C. Webber was assisting, along with the Customs and Border Patrol and the Royal Bahamas Defense Force, the Coast Guard said.

Blumin is the founder and CEO of Skylight Group, a New York-based event space company specializing in the fashion industry.

Ulrich is a pilot from Lee, New Hampshire. Skylight confirmed Blumin and members of her family were on the plane in a statement. Ryan Kelly, a Coast Guard spokesman, told ABC7. Blumin's sons are 10 and 4, officials said.

At the time, the aircraft was off Eleuthera, flying at a speed of 300 knots at an altitude of 24,000 feet, the Coast Guard said.

The US Coast Guard said there was "no indication" of bad weather when the plane went missing.
