  • Pro Bowl returning to Orlando in 2018

The NFL announced that this year's Pro Bowl would return to Orlando, after last year's successful debut there last year.

NFL officials dubbed last year's first try in Orlando a success and will stage the next Pro Bowl there on January 28, once again matching the top players from the National Conference against the elite of the American Conference. The network previously televised the game 22 times (1975-87 and 1995-2003), while ESPN has carried the game on 14 occasions - 1988-94, 2004-06, 2010 and 2015-17.

In addition to airing on ESPN and ABC, ESPN Deportes will offer a Spanish-language production of the Pro Bowl and the game will be streamed live on the ESPN app.

The AFC vs. NFC format is also back for the Pro Bowl after it returned past year in favor of the "unconferenced" draft.

Now that Orlando will host back-to-back Pro Bowls, it seems like we're trending toward central Florida being the game's new regular host.

"The TDT-funded improvements at Camping World Stadium have allowed us to compete for premier events like the 2018 Pro Bowl", said Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs. Orlando is easier for most people to travel to, so it should have a better chance at consistently filling up its stadium for the Pro Bowl.

"This year's sold-out game was a landmark moment for Orlando and our reputation as a preferred destination for world-class sporting events".

The Pro Bowl is coming back to Orlando. Pro Bowl practices for the AFC and NFC teams will also be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, allowing fans to watch their favorite players as they prepare for the game.
