The Australia worldwide spent the 2016-17 season on loan at Huddersfield Town and played a key role as the Terriers clinched promotion from the Championship, scoring in the penalty shoot-out as they defeated Reading in the play-off final.

Christopher Schindler was the hero for his side, netting the winning penalty, after Liam Moore had blazed over for Reading, before Jordan Obita saw his effort saved by Huddersfield goalkeeper Danny Ward.

It looks like Ian Holloway can take a lot of credit for inspiring Huddersfield to promotion!

After 45 years away, Huddersfield have fought and found their back to the Premier League.

Huddersfield have never played in the Premier League and haven't been a force in English football since the 1920s, when they won the title three times under legendary boss Herbert Chapman.

Holloway will be managing QPR in the Championship next season, while Wagner and Huddersfield are flying high in the Premier League.

"I'm absolutely thrilled. I love this club, love the team, I love Dean Hoyle - our chairman - and especially the manager, David Wagner, who has done miraculously for Huddersfield Town this season".

They did it the hard way, needing a penalty shootout to defeat Reading in the Championship playoff final following a goalless Wembley draw on Monday.

But rather than copying those before them, Wagner is keen the club makes its own history.

Previous analysis from Deloitte's Sports Business Group suggests that promotion to the Premier League could lead to an uplift in income of at least £170m and up to £290m if the newly promoted club stays in the Premiership for more than one season.

Habsi thanked his fans in United Kingdom and Oman and said, "To all our dear fans and supporters, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being with us throughout the season. We only wanted to play this season to our limits, and now we know where our limit is".

"I made my thoughts about four weeks ago before the play-offs started and now I'll have to get the thoughts I had back in my head", he said.

We would pay good money to hear the "clunk" that accompanied the impact but we'll just have to make do with the unbelievable visual. We are very happy.
