Stanley Cup Final: Predators take Game 4 to draw even with Penguins

Nashville Predators goalie Pekka Rinne (35), of Finland, stops a shot by Pittsburgh Penguins left wing Chris Kunitz (14) during the second period in Game 4 of the NHL hockey Stanley Cup Finals Monday, June 5, 2017, in Nashville, Tenn. Murray certainly hasn't shown he can stop the Predators in the last two games.

It begins around six seconds into the video, where one of the fans turns to the other and gives a little "let's go" before they start kissing.

Darting through the neutral zone, Sidney Crosby collected Brian Dumoulin's stretch pass and streaked into Pittsburgh's offensive zone. Crosby's game-tying goal at 15:57 in the opening frame was his 161st career point in the playoffs, good for 20th all-time.

In the second period, Sid The Kid tested Rinne again.

Another fan said, "I actually was on the plaza down here on Broadway for New Year's Eve 2016, and it was not that insane on New Year's Eve even". But it was initially waved off.

Rinne's fine work enabled Nashville to jump ahead, 2-1, on Gaudreau's wraparound goal at 3:45.

Nashville Predators goalie Pekka Rinne dives across the crease to thwart a scoring attempt by Pittsburgh Penguins' Jake Guentzel during Monday's Game 4 of the NHL Stanley Cup final in Nashville, Tennessee. John Harris of the 1944 Blackhawks was the first. After Sidney Crosby scored on a breakaway in the first period, it looked as if he may get another one in the second period. A rookie who isn't supposed to get in the game is usually just given a chair on one end.

Dollar tanks on United States jobs data but stocks scale new peaks
He noted, however, that the Fed's plan to push rates higher repeatedly later this year now looks far from certain. In late trading, the U.S. dollar index fell to a seven-month low and was last down 0.5 per cent at 96.725.

While that feat was impressive, at Game 4 of the Final back in Nashville, Preds fans came through with their most extravagant catfish toss to date.

And a long, bouncy, empty-net score for Filip Forsberg, who was long overdue for a goal in the Final, sealed the deal for the Preds late in the third, downing the Penguins, sending the series back to Pittsburgh and suddenly shooting Nashville back into contention.

Rinne made 23 saves on the 24 shots that he faced, and the only goal he allowed came on Crosby's first breakaway of the game in the first period that tied the game at 1-1. He stopped some high-quality shots, too.

With the series tied at two, the Penguins are going to need great goaltending that can steal a game.

After two games of the Stanley Cup Final, the Nashville Predators, ranked last among postseason teams entering these playoffs, appeared well on their way to falling victim to a repeat title run by the Pittsburgh Penguins. James Neal started the play, getting the puck to captain Mike Fisher who fed the puck up to Arvidsson while falling to the ice. And if home ice is an advantage in a seven-game series, it's even that much more important in a three-game set.

We expected a response from the Predators on home ice.

Backed by their raucous home fans, the Predators are 8-1 in the postseason at Bridgestone Arena. "I just felt like it was the right thing to do". The first, from Frederick Gaudreau three minutes and change into the period, nearly didn't count, as his wraparound attempt seemed to be held off the line by Matt Murray for 35 seconds before the scorer's box sounded the horn to stop play.
