  • Joint general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale termed the deaths of RSS workers political killings

The CPI (M) state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan reportedly said this message will be communicated to all cadres within 10 days.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley came under fire from CPI (M) cadre on Sunday during his visit to Kerala to meet the family of slain RSS worker E Rajesh.

"I had, since this morning, the opportunity of meeting a large number of victims of violence which has been going on in the state for the last several months".

Union Minister Arun Jaitley on Sunday paid a visit to the family of RSS workers Rajesh who was recently hacked to death in Kerala. Speaking at the meeting, Jaitley condemned the incident and said that there were 70 to 80 wounds on the RSS worker's body, adding that even enemies are not such barbaric. I assure our karyakartas and victims that the party will stand strongly behind them. "We have faced such violence through generations".

Here is the list of people, both CPM-LDF and BJP-RSS, who have lost their lives to political violence in Kerala from 2016 to till now.

Jaitley said: "Houses of political workers and swayamsevaks have been attacked and the police in Kerala behaved like a silent spectator".

State BJP leaders, including president Kummanam Rajasekharan, accompanied the Union Finance minister. "The workers of Kerala are not alone, the whole nation is with you", he told the grieving family, while blaming the Left-ruled state government of perpetrating violence in Kerala. The BJP state leadership will also discuss the medical college scam and the violence in the state with Mr Bhagawat, it is learnt. Meanwhile, they also met another RSS leader, Jayaprakash who was brutally injured in an attack during a clash between RSS workers and CPM leaders.

After a spate of political violence, State Governor P Sathasivam had summoned Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and state police chief Loknath Behra to ascertain the action taken by the government. They had apprised him of the arrests made in the murder case.

He said that party offices and workers' houses can't be attacked and political parties should be more vigilant and ask workers to keep away from such incidents. The CPI-M alleged that the RSS-BJP combine was spreading a false propaganda on the issue of political violence.
