The company hopes that every auto built after 2020 will either be fully electric or a hybrid that makes use of both an electric motor and a traditional petrol-powered engine.

From 2020 all new Jaguar Land Rover vehicles will either be fully electric or hybrid. But Jaguar Classic may have the answer, and has produced a version of its iconic E-type roadster with a fully electric powertrain.

Also on display is the electric Jaguar E-Type Zero, an electric version of the company's iconic sports auto. The vehicle was built by their classic auto division Classic Works.

For all other fans of the E-type, from now on zero emission cities are open to the classics.

While it's not quite as extreme as committing to produce only electric or hybrid vehicles, as have both Volvo and Aston Martin, it's still a significant step towards promoting alternative drivetrain technologies.

According to Jaguar Land Rover, the move was meant to offer consumers more choice by electrifying all of its future products, and that's probably fair.

Maryland, Texas swap kick-six touchdowns
On first down from the 21, quarterback Shane Buechele's pass was almost picked off by a wide-open Carter, who bobbled it. Blocked kicks returns, however, happen few and far between and can change the momentum of a game at a moment's notice.

Displayed at Tech Fest, the fully restored E-Type gets a state-of-the art electric powertrain, cleverly integrated in to the E-Type with minimal changes to the original, apart from the obvious loss of the XK engine and exhaust.

Jaguar's electric line up for the future - from left the Jaguar E-Type Zero, its first all-electric auto, the Jaguar I-Pace compact SUV and Jaguar's futuristic electric concept vehicle.

"Today's announcement also, however, serves as a reminder that Britain, as a country, seriously needs to start preparing for the electric future". With its sleek design and modern features sets it apart as one of the most attractive electric cars out there.

The Jaguar Future-Type has also been unveiled as a visionary auto that is fully autonomous.

The concept was launched as the marque's parent company, Jaguar Land Rover, vowed to go electric-only from 2020.

A slightly Skynet feature is the 'intelligent steering wheel that will revolutionise the way you live your life.' Called Sayer, after Malcolm Sayer, who designed the E-Type, it detaches from the auto and 'lives in your home and becomes your trusted companion.' Sounds pretty damn creepy, if you ask us.
