So the new iPhone will be called iPhone X (where X is 10 in Roman numbers, pronounced iPhone 10). Currently, Samsung is the sole manufacturer and supplier of OLED panels used in making the end-to-end bezel-less display which the iPhone 8 will reportedly have. The popular rumor going around right now is that iPhone 8 preorders might commence on September 15, while shipping could start as soon as September 22.

The Bloomberg report also said that LG may be able to produce OLED screens in limited quantities by the iPhone season in late 2018.

Of course, it's also possible this is all a ruse, but as LetsGoDigital points out, KPN is a major telecommunication company in The Netherlands.

After months of speculation and conflicting rumors, Apple next week will finally take the wraps off of its highly anticipated iPhone 8.

Touch ID won't be part of the redesigned iPhone that Apple introduces next week, according to The Wall Street Journal. Also because Apple has done it before with their Watch. A "Pro" version of the iPhone seems logical.

The iPhone 8/Edition was plagued by production glitches early in the manufacturing process, according to a new report from the WSJ. This could mean that the company will be ditching the regular Rose Gold color variant that has been seen on so many iPhone generations in the past.

As deadlines approached, Apple eventually abandoned the fingerprint scanner, the people said, and users will unlock the phone using either an old-fashioned password or what is expected to be a new facial-recognition feature.

"Apple has cited the impending availability of the iPhone 8 as an impediment to current period demand for the iPhone 7", Kvaal explained.

Previous rumours have pointed towards the iPhone 8, or iPhone X as it may be known, going on sale on 22nd September.

Sacconaghi believes Apple will offer its widest assortment of iPhones yet.
