  • Android Oreo hits 0.2% adoption after 1 month

The Android Oreo has also made it to the chart with 0.2% distribution but that is because it is now available for Pixel and Nexus devices only. There's this single beta release planned ahead of an unscheduled "final production" dispatch, and worse yet, the LG Watch Sport is the lone device capable of running the experimental Android Oreo-based OS.

Android Nougat usage grew from last month, finishing at 17.8 percent, while Android Marshmallow usage slipped a bit to 32 percent.

Android 5.0 Lollipop runs on 27.7% devices while Android KitKat marks 14.5%.

Saudi Arabia to lift ban on women drivers
A committee will be formed to look into how to implement the new order, which is slated to come into effect in June 2018. Others argued that allowing women to drive would lead to promiscuity and the collapse of the Saudi family.

Android 8.0 Oreo was introduced on August 22 and even though many smartphone OEMs such as BlackBerry, HTC, Sony, Nokia, Huawei and Motorola have confirmed the list of their devices that will be upgraded to Oreo, none of the smartphones except for Google devices have received the Android 8.0. Bringing most of your phone's features out in a smartwatch is a great deal and with Android, it is improvising slowly. As far as Oreo is concerned, its market share is expected to improve by the end of year as many smartphone OEMs will begin the process of rolling out Android O.

According to October's distribution chart, Android 7.0 Nougat rose by 1.6% to 15.8% while Android 7.1 Nougat saw an increase of 0.4% to 2.0%. Android Jelly Bean acquires a combined share of 6.6 percent while Ice Cream Sandwich has 0.6 percent share.

Google today posted the Android platform distribution numbers for October 2017, and there's a couple of exciting bits of info to tell you about. Finally, Android Gingerbread (v2.3.3-2.3.7), the first of its kind has got a share of 0.6 percent. The almost two-and-half-year old OS still continues to dominate Android's charts, and many phones remain on Marshmallow, especially budget ones.
