Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein's sexual proclivities apparently extended well beyond his former and current employees and the industry itself, according to fresh revelations made by a report.

Film producer Harvey Weinstein has been terminated from his own company following a barrage of sexual harassment accusations.

The New York Times reported on Thursday that Harvey Weinstein had reached at least eight settlements over almost three decades with women who had accused him of sexual harassment and unwanted physical contact.

Two sources familiar with the company told NBC News on Sunday that it was considering changing its name - a move that Bob Weinstein, Harvey's brother, was said to be resisting. On Sunday, the disgraced Hollywood mogul was sacked from the studio he started 12 years ago with his younger brother, Bob.

Several members of the Weinstein Company's all-male board resigned following the allegations last week, as did his high-profile attorney Lisa Bloom - who withdrew from representing Weinstein this weekend, alongside another adviser, Lanny Davis.

Among his other producing credits included films like Pulp Fiction, The Aviator, and Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Now, The Weinstein Company has officially ousted their co-founder. The actress praises the women who spoke up against Weinstein, such as Ashley Judd and Rose McGowan, as heroes, while admitting she never knew about any of the offenses made against Weinstein.

Following the allegations, Weinstein did issue a statement which began: "I came of age in the 60's and 70's, when all the rules about behaviour and workplaces were different". The producer disputed the report but immediately apologized for misconduct and announced that he would be taking a leave of absence from his company. "That was the culture then", he said.

Lisa Bloom, a lawyer then advising Weinstein, said Thursday that he "denies numerous accusations as patently false", and Weinstein's attorney Charles Harder said his client was preparing a lawsuit against the Times.
