Brooklyn Nets guard Jeremy Lin will miss the rest of the season after sustaining a ruptured patella tendon of the right knee, the team announced.

Lin was forced out of Brooklyn's 140-131 loss in IN after he landed awkwardly on his right knee following a driving layup attempt with 4:53 left in the fourth quarter.

The Taiwanese-American basketball player drove to the basket for a contested lay-up during the fourth quarter of the 140-131 loss at the Indiana Pacers, but landed awkwardly and crumpled to the court.

Manchester United's Romelu Lukaku Fit For Belgium's World Cup Qualifier Against Cyprus
Marouane Fellaini has been ruled out for a "couple of weeks" with a knee injury suffered while on global duty with Belgium . The former Everton manager told reporters: " Romelu Lukaku is fit".

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski was the first to report the news, and the Nets later confirmed it to The Vertical's Chris Mannix. He yelled out "I'm done!" then grimaced and burst into tears.

Lin was helped to the locker room but eventually limped off the floor under his own power.

Lin, who was benched later in that breakout season after suffering a knee injury, left the Knicks a few months later after they refused to match a restricted offer sheet in free agency. Part of the reason for excitement this season was the fact that point guard Jeremy Lin was finally healthy after playing only 36 games last season. Lin, who missed 46 games last season, will be evaluated in NY on Friday.
