Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri was reportedly informed of a plot to assassinate him by Western intelligence agencies, leading him to flee the country and resign from his post.

Hezbollah was founded with Iranian support in 1982 to resist the Israeli invasion of Lebanon and has since emerged as a regional power in its own right.

"Do not listen to alarmist speeches", Nasrallah said.

The Hezbollah chief did not directly address the accusations levelled by what he called Hariri's "very hard" speech, saying only that these were "a matter for Saudi Arabia". The nation was without a cohesive government and leadership for almost two years.

"Due to the current conditions and developments in Lebanon, the foreign ministry asks citizens present in Lebanon to leave immediately and exercise extreme caution", the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The Texans Considered Staging A Walkout Over Owner Bob McNair's 'Prison' Comments
Rookie cornerback Treston Decoud said he doesn't think McNair's comment is unpopular among team owners. The stories further state that numerous other players almost walked out, but were persuaded to stay .

"Hariri hoped that he could convince Iran on the part of Saudi Arabian officials to stop its opposition to the inhumane policies of Riyadh towards Yemen including conducting airstrikes against the innocent women and children and imposing siege on the impoverished nation which is suffering from lack of food and medicines".

The country's political divisions led to the assassination of Hariri's father Rafik in 2005.

Manama has declared Hezbollah a terrorist group and repeatedly accused it of involvement in violent attacks in the kingdom. I and my government have tried to keep to a policy of non-intervention in the crises in our region, but Iran keeps trying to intervene in Lebanon's internal affairs.

But Nasrallah on Sunday called for "calm, patience and waiting until the reasons become clear" for Hariri stepping aside. According to the Lebanese constitution, the Prime Minister of Lebanon must be a Sunni Muslim, the President a Christian, and the chairman of the parliament a Shiite Muslim.
