A source told Ken Sugiara of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the three UCLA players - Ball, Jalen Hill, and Cody Riley - will face 20 days of house arrest and then will be barred from visiting the country again.

UCLA will play Georgia Tech in Shanghai on Friday night.

The Post reported the team's coach, Steve Alford, had stayed in Hangzhou until his players were released. They were reportedly accused of stealing sunglasses from a Louis Vuitton store that is next to the hotel.

UCLA, one of the United States' premier college basketball programs, says the university is cooperating fully with local authorities.

"They weren't messing around", the source shared.

An arrest would prompt an investigation that could take up to two additional months before prosecutors bring formal charges, Lewis told the newspaper.
