Conor McGregor angrily confronted an MMA referee at an event in Dublin on Friday night after jumping into the Octagon. At a previous UFC event in Poland, Goddard told McGregor to back away from the ringside when he was shouting instructions at Artem Lobov, who is another teammate. McGregor tackled Ward in celebration inside the cage before Goddard and another official came over to intervene. Even more, he brought attention to Bellator MMA, UFC's chief rival.

The Bellator 187 event took place Friday evening in Dublin and is scheduled to air on tape delay in the USA on Spike TV.

McGregor then followed Goddard across the cage before giving him a slight shove him in the back, just before officials intervened.

McGregor, who didn't have a corner's license for the fight, jumped on Ward.

Once Ward landed that coup de grace and Redmond went crashing down to the mat, McGregor scaled the cage and went over to congratulate Ward on the win.

McGregor and Goddard have been at odds before.

The Bellator employee that McGregor slapped was Mike Johnson, and the organization released a statement Friday night saying it is looking into the incident.

At UFC Gdansk, Goddard was forced to warn McGregor for attempting to coach Lobov from the crowd during his unanimous decision loss to Andre Fili.

While the matchup seems to be made, negotiations are in place with McGregor's team and the UFC.
