  • Children bombard mall Santa with controversial political questions in SNL cold open

When the great Kenan Thompson put on his Santa Claus suit to hear Christmas wishes from children, he didn't expect the unseasonal and uneasy questions they'd pose about the most troubling recent news events.

Thompson said to the boy, "Well, Tyler, I guess you could say Al Franken is on Santa's naughty list this year".

"It's not really a list", Kate McKinnon, playing an elf named Amy, deadpans.

The young boy then asked about Republican National Party candidate from Alabama Roy Moore who is also now facing allegations of sexual harassment.

Other children ask about other President Donald Trump's accusers, former "Today" host Matt Lauer's sex toys, kneeling National Football League players, tax reform benefits, feminazis, opioid abuse, the Tel Aviv embassy move, Fox News coverage and bitcoin investing.

One little girl asks for a Barbie - "unless the "feminazis" are going to take that away from me too".

After coming back from his lunch break, Santa invites Tyler to sit on his lap and tell him what he wants for Christmas.

"What about Roy Moore?"

"Our president may have said or done a few naughty things", Santa tells Jessica.

Australia rip through England to claim 2-0 lead
In the surgical assault that led England to that point, Australia's bowlers did them a favour by bowling so well. England could surrender the Ashes next week at the WACA ground in Perth, where it has not won a Test since 1978.

Taylor Swift Is A Time Person Of The Year
From Harvey Weinstein to Kevin Spacey, several high-profile individuals have lost their job after cases of sexual harassment were reported against them.

'I know, the girl said. "But if you deny it, you get to keep your job!"

"We seem to have lost all perspective on what's naught and nice", McKinnon tells a child.

McKinnon's elf said, "I know that things seem particularly insane".

If these kids are anything, it's tuned in... as in tuned to CNN, MSNBC and even Fox News.

But, Amy the elf explains that as bad as things seem, they will get better. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, maybe not for another three years, 42 days and 24 minutes, but most people in America are good people. "But just in case, I'm putting all my money in bitcoin".

Jost then took a shot at Trump for tweeting his support for Roy Moore by tweeting 'Go get 'em Roy!'

You may recall, the Minnesota Senator was forced to resign for getting frisky with a Playboy model, who just happens to be a die-hard, Republican political operative, during an x-rated 2006 USO show in Iraq.

"Well, you know, Santa tries to stay out of political matters", Thompson said.
