The rescue effort for a missing three-year-old boy swept into the Grand River has now turned to a recovery mission, Ontario provincial police confirmed to CityNews. Governor Eric Holcomb of IN plans to tour flood-damaged parts of northern IN on Friday. "Those living in flood-prone areas should be prepared to take action should flooding develop", the agency warned.

"We still don't have an exact volume of what went into the river but as of now it's no longer flowing".

Moderate flooding is expected along much of the Ohio River from gauges in Ashland to Henderson, cresting in Owensboro on Monday at about 47 feet, according to the NWS Ohio River Forecast Center.

The National Weather Service is predicting the Grand River to rise as high as 16.4 feet by Sunday evening.

In Arkansas, the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office says the bus became stuck Wednesday morning in a rural part of North Little Rock. Brant County officials are also requested to monitor the Newport Road and Boundary Road areas and implement road closures as necessary.

Meanwhile, one local company is offering to help downtown businesses affected by the flooding. The Red Cedar River is forecast to crest at 10.3 feet.

A dual threat weather situation is in place across Arkansas through Saturday. This would cause the river to go to even higher levels.

The river will fall today into tonight before rising to near 57.4 feet by Tuesday morning.

Just after 1 p.m. on February 21, the Grand River Conservation Authority issued a warning for Haldimand and Six Nations that ice jams in Brantford might release, "resulting in a surge of water that will move downstream and rapidly increase flows in the area".

For Saturday, as a cold front approaches from the west, severe weather is expected to develop and move across the state from west to east.

A flood warning continues for Dorcheat Bayou near Springhill, LA, until the warning is cancelled.

Boyle said that a number of roads in Haldimand have been closed due to flooding concerns; a complete list is available on the county's website.

City officials in Lowell closed off S. Jackson Road on Thursday in anticipation of river flooding. He told CTV Toronto that his basement had about nine feet (three metres) of water in it.

"Heavy rain certainly contributed to the landslides", Vargo said.

"Certainly if anyone sees any bodies or anybody laying at the edge of the Grand River, we need a call right away".
