Yesterday many of Scotland's airports cancelled flights and suspended services, though some flights have been arriving into Edinburgh airport today.

Ryanair now plans to return to operations at all Irish airports on Saturday, March 3, while remaining in close contact with the airports and the emergency authorities.

All scheduled Ryanair flights to and from Dublin, Cork, Kerry, Knock and Shannon airports on Friday, 2 March have been cancelled and all affected customers have been notified of their options by email and text message.

British Airways has pulled the pin on at lease 91 flights today, with majority at London Heathrow.

"We strongly advise all passengers due to travel today continue to check their flight status by using Flight Tracker and avoid travelling to the airport if your flight is cancelled".

Alisa Sisic, the airport's manager of marketing and public information officer, said the airport has been closely monitoring Friday's nor'easter.

Aer lingus flights will begin to wind down from three o'clock this afternoon, with other airlines following at 4pm.
