Giants expecting Odell Beckham to participate in offseason work

The superstar receiver showing up, as Shurmur for the first time welcomes in his new players, would certainly send the message the Giants want to see from him.

Beckham is entering the final year of his rookie contract after NY picked up his fifth-year option last April.

While Beckham is a remarkable talent and one of the top athletes in the National Football League, it's worth wondering how long it will take for him to get back into game shape. Would he extend it all the way into the start of the regular season?

This isn't the first time Beckham has found himself in the spotlight this offseason.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport took things a step further Tuesday, reporting that the Giants actually are listening to offers for the 25-year old.

The statement says they also expressed satisfaction with the apparent easing of tensions over North Korea's weapons program. Trump said they would meet in the "not too distant future" to discuss limiting a growing arms race, Ukraine and Syria.

"Bottom line is, as Ernie [Accorsi] taught us, you don't quit on talent", Gettleman said when asked if Beckham can be part of the solution in NY, via NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "But like we said, we don't really get into the situation of discussing players that are on another team, just out of respect for tampering and what can come with that". Mara was asked whether it was possible to imagine Beckham in another team's jersey before next season and Mara's answer has many fans left confused.

Beckham was limited to four games last season because of ankle injuries.

"I think it's important that you get all the information", Shurmur said.

New York Giants owner John Mara says the team does not have Odell Beckham Jr., on the trading block, then stopped short Sunday of saying the controversial star receiver is an untouchable. Who knows how that video appeared? I think he really cares. "I think it's important, especially in the player-coach relationship, to get to know him". While upgrading wide receiver is definitely a point of emphasis this year, going all out to land Beckham would mean devoting an overwhelming number of resources to just one position, which is never a sound roster-building strategy. It's unclear what the Giants would be looking for in return.
