Movie star Sean Penn turned in a laid back, yet unforgettable, interview on Monday's broadcast of "The Late Show".

Predictably, Stephen Colbert was pleased as punch to note that Daniels and Anderson Cooper drew so many eyeballs-and not just because his Late Show also airs on CBS. Turns out, Sean-Penn-on-Ambien is more inclined to light a cigarette and start smoking live on Colbert's stage than Sean-Penn-NOT-on-Ambien.

"The greatest thing an actor can bring is to play well with others".

Two-time Oscar victor Sean Penn is hitting the press circuit to promote his novel, Bob Honey Who Just Do Stuff. "It never occurred to me upon rejection, to claim anger over it, or to mistreat the person as a result of it", he said, calling victims who report abuse "heroes".

This isn't the first we've heard of Bob Honey.

When asked about his motivations for writing the book, Penn said it was a kind of therapy for him living through the Trump era.

Google makes it easier to buy what you search for
Google says that its data reveals that mobile searchers for "where to buy" surged by 85 percent over the past two years. So, the sites that lost the ranking were replaced by other sites, which gained because of the update in the algorithm.

Representatives for "The Late Show" and Penn didn't immediately respond to INSIDER's request for comment.

Colbert remained skeptical, though, and on Monday night got Penn to admit that he had lied. "And now, I'm here, in an evolution of that process, sharing the development of the earlier truth I told you". "And I increasingly don't play well with others".

Did that clear things up? Reflecting on the current state of their relationship, Penn told WTF podcast host Marc Maron, "We don't have a lot of conversation. I'm on that train with you".

When finally Colbert asked him to stop smoking cigarettes for the sake of his own health, Penn jokingly replied, "This is job security for oncologists".

But smoking and Ambien aside, Penn got serious and took a moment to praise the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student survivors and the organizers of Saturday's March for Our Lives protest, which was sparked by the mass school shooting on February 14.
