  • American Gods share video from the start of production for season two

American Gods creator Neil Gaiman has officially announced the start of production on the second season of the critically-acclaimed show, which dropped its debut season a year ago to much acclaim. The House on the Rock is the meeting place for a conference between the gods.

Just the fact that, despite some speedbumps, a second season is still happening and is now in production is great news. The cast also includes Ian McShane, Emily Browning, Pablo Schreiber, Yetide Badaki, Bruce Langley, Crispin Glover, and Orlando Jones.

"American Gods is coming back for a new season, and we have just started production", Gaiman says in the video. Thus, it seems like the sophomore season will finally feature Wednesday (McShane) gathering his fellow Old Gods at the Biggest Carousel in the World to discuss his game plan, which is one of the most memorable sequences from Gaiman's novel.

American Gods season 1 is currently available in the United Kingdom exclusively on Amazon Prime Video for Prime or Prime Video members to stream or download now.

American Gods is still a very important series for Starz just because it continues their association with a popular author and beyond that, features an exciting, dramatic story that is really different from something that you are seeing virtually anywhere else. The fans will get to see a lot of familiar characters on the show, as the war between the Old gods and the New gods starts. Alias, Heroes, and Star Trek: Discovery writer Jesse Alexander has since taken over as showrunner. Senior Vice President of Original Programming Marta Fernandez and Manager of Original Programming Kathleen Clifford are the Starz executives in charge of "American Gods".
