Why Meghan Markle stood behind Kate Middleton for her balcony debut

  • Duchess of Sussex joins The Queen

Harry and Meghan vacationed in a lodge in Zambia last year and the 36-year-old's wedding ring was specially sourced from Botswana by the prince.

As they sat and watched the opening ceremony for the bridge opening, the Duchess seemed to loosen up and the pair began having a great time.

And while we can't afford Meghan's designer wardrobe, we can get our hands on that M&S bell sleeve jumper she wore when visiting Brixton back in January. The boat-neck gown that Markle wore for her wedding in May was designed by Clare Waight Keller, the first female artistic director for Givenchy.

While we'll probably never truly know if the confusion stemmed from security changes or simple forgetfulness, at least we know that Queen Elizabeth and Meghan Markle thankfully stayed safe throughout their royal visit.

Body language expert Judi James, an industry leader in communication, told how the Queen appeared "completely confident" in Meghan's ability.

Meghan is the first royal of the younger generation, including Kate Middleton, Prince William and Prince Harry, to ride along with Her Majesty on the royal train for an official event.

'Please review your posts': Facebook accidentally shares 14M users' private info
For a bug to break that system for millions of users is yet another major problem Facebook is going to have to deal with. "We'd like to apologize for this mistake", Erin Egan, Facebook's chief privacy officer, said in today's statement.

There were huge cheers as the Queen took to one side of the crowd and the Duchess to the other.

The Duchess was quite attentive and respectful, keeping an appropriate distance behind Her Royal Highness as they walked around the town of Cheshire. "She was central rather than the alternative of being in the front row and along the balcony to the left or right".

Meghan is the first of the younger generation of royals to use the train.

At one point, a woman said to send love to Harry, and that Meghan should "take care of him".

Earlier this week, Harry's office announced that the prince and Meghan would travel to Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand later this year.

The pair have been out in Cheshire for their first joint Royal engagement today, but it was long before royal protocol was broken.
