  • England Gareth Southgate 2018 FIFA World Cup

Kyle Walker expects Panama to give England a tough test on Sunday, insisting the World Cup clash will be no "walkover".

The two teams will meet on Sunday at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia in the second match in Group G with Panama (0W-0D-1L, 0GF, 3GC) hoping to earn its first result against an England side (1-0-0, 2GF, 1GC) that opened the tournament with a 2-1 win over Tunisia.

"I made quite a balanced observation yesterday which I'm told gathered quite a bit of momentum", he said.

"I've fulfilled that role and know how hard it is. More than anything I think for the guys who aren't in the team tomorrow [Sunday] or who haven't been in the team for either game", said Southgate.

"There's no drama. The picture the other day wasn't even the team so it was even less of a drama, it was a list of runners and riders for the training session".

England fans sang and danced into the early hours of the morning in Nizhny Novgorod ahead of the Three Lions World Cup clash with Panama.

Southgate went on to compare being at the World Cup and travelling with a press pack like "being on holiday with your family".

"There's no way there's any complacency in the way we've prepared for the game".

"But I've got to say we've got some brilliant, top professionals who are coping really well with that, both in their approach to training and in the conversations they have around the team". It is important for them that they got a game under their belt, that they played well, that they experienced what it feels like to win with England in a big tournament.
