NES Classic returns to stores today

  • NES Classic Edition

The NES Classic Edition is again in store shelves and in online shops. When Nintendo first launched the revival in 2016 for a limited production run, it was nearly instantly sold out.

Nintendo finally gives in to consumer demand and restocks the elusive NES Classic Edition.

Soon after its launch, the NES Classic Edition was almost impossible to find on store shelves as nostalgic gamers bought units to relive the days of old. If curious, you can have a look at the website for more images of the controller or if you want to pre-order one, you can do so for $24.99.

The SNES Classic and NES Classic are identical, architecturally speaking, and if you're willing to mod your console, you can play games from both.

If you've been waiting to get your hands on the hard-to-find Nintendo NES Classic, here's your chance. This makes the SNES Classic the inarguably better choice simply because you can play every NES game on an SNES controller, but the reverse is nearly never true. The Super Nintendo Entertainment System Classic (SNES Classic) will also be available through the end of the year. Then Nintendo abruptly ended production of the console, saying it was never meant to be a long term item, and that it needed the factory space to produce other items (like the Switch, another hot seller).

Haley blasts human rights groups for 'thwarting' reform of United Nations council
The diplomat noted that Washington's decision had dealt a powerful blow to its reputation in terms of protecting human rights. It added that the US criticism of the council for failing to make changes advocated by Washington appears "cynical".

England set new record in Aussie nightmare
The opening stand fetched 159 runs inside 20 overs and was broken with Roy's run out in his attempt to scamper for the second run. Bairstow smashed his fourth ODI century in 2018 and Hales took England past their old record with a six, the 21st of the innings.

Will you be rushing off to get one? If you're one of those retro seekers still aiming for that chance to bag the revamped NES Mini Classic console, then this is your chance.

However, do not be surprised if retailers limit this to one item per-person in order to combat scalpers.

GameStop is also selling the NES Classic Edition, with products available online and in stores around the country. Several sources report that the latter already shows that the product is in stock.

But the good news is you might have some luck heading to a brick-and-mortar store. Get 'em before they're gone!
