The jury in the trial of England cricketer Ben Stokes was on Wednesday shown security camera footage of a gay man allegedly grabbing the groin of another defendant shortly before a brawl erupted.
The jury was also shown CCTV footage that, it was alleged by the prosecution, shows Hale running back towards the main group with a length of metal.

Stokes is standing trial at Bristol Crown Court accused of knocking out two other men outside a nightclub in the southwest English city in September past year.
Stokes and several other England players had gone to Mbargo to celebrate a one-day worldwide win over the West Indies last September.
Stokes, of Durham, Ali and Hale, both of Bristol, deny affray.
PC Stacey Alway told the court that as she walked over to Mr. Stokes, she said: "A guy over there was covered in blood and I've been told you punched him". I didn't feel I had an option to leave in the heat of the situation.
"As I was on my own, when I separated two of them more people carried on behind me".

Ali suffered a fracture to the medial orbital wall on the left side of his face.
