The accuser, Christine Blassey Ford, is "willing to do whatever it takes to get her story forth", her attorney Debra Katz told NBC on Monday.

"Oh boy ... the Dems and their usual nonsense games really have him [Kavanaugh] on the ropes now", Trump Jr. wrote in his Instagram post's caption. Jeff Flake of Arizona, a Judiciary Committee member who has clashed bitterly with Trump and is retiring from the Senate.

Kavanaugh, meanwhile, was seen arriving at the White House late on Monday morning.

An official working closely with his team described Kavanaugh as "shaken, but focused", with the conversation revolving around "defending his integrity". Following the retirement of Justice Anthony Kennedy, Kavanaugh's appointment would tilt the balance of the court to the right, potentially impacting American law for decades to come. "Dianne Feinstein should have questioned Kavanaugh, under oath, in the closed hearing", tweeted The National Review's Tiana Lowe. So two Republican votes against Kavanaugh's confirmation would derail it. "He stands ready to testify tomorrow if the Senate is ready to hear him", White House spokesman Raj Shah said in a statement on Monday. She says Kavanaugh groped her over her clothes, grinded his body against hers and tried to take off her one-piece swimsuit and the outfit she wore over it. Kavanaugh covered her mouth with his hand when she tried to scream, she says, and escaped when the friend, Mark Judge, jumped on them. Feinstein said she received a letter detailing the allegations in July, but sat on it until last Wednesday, ostensibly out of respect for Ford.

Trump characterized the issue as a "little delay" and described as "ridiculous" the suggestion that Kavanaugh might withdraw his candidacy. Speaking to reporters on Monday, President Trump said, "if it takes a little delay, it'll take a little delay".

Trump stayed publicly silent on Kavanaugh over the weekend but told reporters Monday afternoon that "a little delay" may be needed on the upcoming Senate Judiciary Committee vote.

Conway said on "Fox & Friends" on Monday morning that the woman "should not be insulted and she should not be ignored".

"I thought he might inadvertently kill me", Ford said.

The foul appeared to be given for an infringement on De Gea, though Welbeck gave Sergio Busquets a slight shove before challenging the goalkeeper.

In the interview, Ford says she never revealed what had happened to her until 2012, when she and her husband sought couples therapy.

Kavanaugh denies the allegation, but the accuser came back with an offer to testify publicly to Congress. Republicans defending their House and Senate majorities are resisting a public hearing, which would play out in the crosswinds of the #MeToo movement and the November 6 elections. Wilkinson has not returned calls from CNN seeking comment.

"Now at the eleventh hour with committee votes on schedule after democrats have spent weeks and weeks searching for any possible reason that this nomination should be delayed, now, now they choose to introduce this allegation", McConnell said. "I did not do this back in high school or at any time", he said in a statement released by the White House.

Maine Sen. Susan Collins, one of the key swing votes on the nomination, said she wanted both Kavanaugh and Ford to testify under oath before the Judiciary Committee.

Kavanaugh denied the allegations outright. However, there are several major problems with her story which I fear the media, having created unfair new rules for evaluating these types of claims in the #MeToo era, are going to disregard. Jeff Flake of Arizona and Lindsey Graham of SC, said they wanted to hear more from Ford. That process is "very thorough, I can assure you", she said.

Judge denied the allegation in an interview with The Weekly Standard on Friday. Probably so. By the way, the Federal Bureau of Investigation gave her a polygraph test, which they announced she had passed, i.e., the results showed she was not lying.

Sharon Crouch Clark didn't know Ford and feels fine about having signed the letter, notwithstanding the allegation.
