Melania Trump was seen feeding baby elephants on Friday as she visited a national park in Kenya to highlight conservation efforts.

The plane carrying the US First Lady, who is on the third leg of her first solo visit to four African countries, touched down shortly before 9pm Nairobi time.

US First Lady Melania Trump showed off her dance moves as she was welcomed to an orphanage in Gigiri, Nairobi.

Mrs Trump plans to visit children at an orphanage and take in a children's performance later at Nairobi National Theatre.

Mrs Trump is the founder and promoter of the "Be Best" initiative created to improve the welfare of children.

Back at the orphanage, Mrs. Trump left the same way she arrived. She also read them a book.

Earlier, when Ms Trump landed in Malawi, she was greeted with "Not A Shithole" signs.

The first lady also caught flak for her outfit on Friday, which critics said made her look like a colonial conqueror.

In Ghana, Mrs Trump visited the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, where she donated hampers and teddy bears to the sick children and also donated a phototherapy machine used for treating complications of jaundice in newborn babies, to the hospital.

Mrs. Trump opened her first extended worldwide tour as first lady on Tuesday in the West African nation of Ghana.

Hours before Washington woke up, critics were pointing out how Trump - who is here representing a husband widely reported to have disparaged African nations as "shitholes" - had fumbled this segment of her visit.

"It's really, really touching", she said.
